10:53 pm - Movies and Living Hell
|
Okay I just got back from my vacation on Wednesday and it was really fun. Universal is so much better then Disney. It was beautiful all 5 days, with an hour of rain each day. I had so much fun. I love Hulk and The Revenge of The Mummy. Even though there was something wrong with the mummy every time I went on it. I loved hearing all the people screaming at the part with the scarabs.
But enough on the vacation, let's get onto the movies.
SPOILER WARNING:
First movie I want to rant about is the DaVinci Code. And no I'm not one of those christians who boycotted the movie. I am very loose on my beliefs. Though I am a Roman Catholic, I do not like the Catholic Church. I do not prefer to read the bible, mainly because it wasn't written by the apostles themselves, but the people they preached to. And the fact that the Romans picked and chose what was in the bible. I believe there could have been a God, and believe in what Jesus preached, but I will live my life the way I want. Onto the movie. First thing I have to say is that the book is so much batter. I found the movie didn't explain the theory well enough. It also tried to add some comedy to it, and gave Langdon a bullshit back story about him falling down a well. And I didn't like how they didn't explain why the butler died, and then showed Teabing. In the book it was that the butler was allergic to peanuts, and Teabing slipped some peanut extract into the drink. And then you found out that it was Teabing at Newton's tomb. I also didn't like that they changed the ending. He was her grandfather, and the man in the church was her brother who was protected by his grandmother. The one thing I applaud them for was the casting. Everyone was perfect for the part. I say read the book, then watch the movie.
The second movie I want to talk about is X3: The Last Stand. I really like the movie. Though there were many things I didn't like, overall it was good.
The first thing that really pissed me off was how they totally changed Juggernaut. First he wasn't a mutant at all. I'm not going to go into the details, but for those of you who do want to know go to wikipedia.org and look him up. The second thing that bothered me was how they killed off Scott in the first 5 minutes. I never liked him in any of the comics or tv shows, but he deserved more screen time then he got. The third thing that annoyed me was how Nightcrawler totally disappeared. Meanwhile he is in the official game, go figure.
Ellen Page was pretty good as Shadowcat, but I still believe that Kattie Stuart would have been a lot better. Ellen looked too young to me. And I didn't like how they made rogue turn her back on the mutants.
And for those of you who want a laugh go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?search=juggernaut&v=ozs-pLzEwGA for those of you who have seen the movie, that is where the "I'm the Juggernaut... Bitch" came from.
Well that's enough about the movies. Today has to have been the worst day I've had in awhile. This morning I had my 3 remaining wisdom teeth removed. I made them put me out so I didn't have to see them working on me. When I got home, I felt like shit. My jaw was killing me, and then after I took the pain medication they prescribed for me, I puked. From about 11:00 am to about 9:00 pm, I just laid around and slept. I could barely drink water or eat soup. Thank God that I started to feel better around 9 because Dr. Who came on and I wasn't missing that for the world. I can't wait until I feel 100% better.
Well that's my rant for today.

12:26 am - Vacation
|
Here I go again, the night before I head to florida and I can't fall asleep. I seem to be losing a lot of sleep since I got home. It could be that I only got a B+ in E&M when I deserved a A-, but what can you do.
I went and saw Michelle finally, so when I get back I have to be interviewed then I'll get the job. Apparently my friend Debra was talked back into working at TRU. The two of us seem to be in an endless cycle. But I'm only going there because I'll probably be paid about 7.75 an hour.
[WARNING a rant about video game is about to occur]
I seem to be playing Soul Calibur 3 a lot lately. I love how much more damage the enemies do in the Chronicles mode. And how There is no real point in beating it except for leveling up your characters, and getting the new game+. All the jobs and characters you unlock can be easily unlocked if you just restart the chronicles mode and do the first few battles until it gets hard. I've gone through it about 4 times, averaging 10 chronicles in, and I have all of the job classes besides the swordmaster.
Other then that and not being able to choose the difficulty I don't have many problems with the game. It's a lot better since they removed the special characters. I mean do you really need Link, Spawn or Heihachi.
[And that ends our rant for today]
Looking forward to going to florida, ofcourse I'll have to see X3 while I'm down in Universal. Ofcourse I'm not going to be looking forward to coming back. I get back May 31, have my 3 remaining wisdom teeth pulled June 2, and go to my job interview June 7. That'll be a good week. Although i won't be closing the store anymore, unless it's a saturday. That'll be nice. Though I'll be opening the store, which is about a 10 minute drive away. And I'm not a morning person. But all in all it will be a good/interesting summer.

5:33 pm - Bored
|
Well I finally caved. My friends have been begging me to start one of these, so here it is.
I got home from college a week ago and have yet to get a job. Ever since Toys'R'Us closed down in my town I have been out of a job. I ran into one of my old co-workers from TRU the other day. She mentioned that my old manager is at the one in Carle Place, so I'm going to give her a call tomorrow.
Other than that I really haven't been on the computer all that much. Mostly I've been sleeping, watching TV or playing Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams. It's a decent game, nowhere near as good as the other ones, but I'll play it just the same.
Oh but i did see The DaVinci Code. The movie was as I expected: long, and wasn't as good as the book. They did a great job with the actors/actress, but they didn't explain things as well as they could of. Overall it was a good movie, but I suggest reading the book.
Ive been listening to the new Red Hot Chili Peppers CD ever since it came out. I love almost every song on the cd.
Well I ran out of things to say. Adios.
